I have the latest release installed. I just tried to insert a 15mm by 14.85mm heart shape stone in to top view. It just disappeared. Works fine with rounds. Have not tried other shapes yet.
Anyone else have this problem?

Permalink Reply by Mike Tarbuck on February 23, 2012 at 5:35am In the heart shape it starts at 11mm that won't work. Also if I use a 10mm stone then get stone outline and scale it to the 15mm size I need. I can't offset that curve. It just makes a point where I click.
Permalink Reply by Mike Tarbuck on February 23, 2012 at 5:58am I think I found the reason for not able to offset. the curve is not flat. Tried project to C plane, did not help.
Another thing.. I tried gem creator. Accidentally click on the gem. Window came up saying to select a curve. This locked up RG. Could not click OK or X to close.
Permalink Reply by Mikko on February 23, 2012 at 7:53am There is a bug when using Extract Gem Curve when you have heart shape stone. This curve is useless, but you can easily make working curve using Project To Surface: create surface and project curve then remove surface, and now you have working curve.
I have reported this "heart curve bug" to Rafa year ago, but nothing has been done :(
I dont know if this is a solution to you, but this may help others.
Permalink Reply by Mike Tarbuck on February 24, 2012 at 4:55am It will help thank you. I also saw where it does not get a flat curve from stone shape. Girdle is faceted in section and not in others giving the uneven curve. Tried project also with same results. I finely got something to work. Had to scale it larger for size I needed.
