Graduation ring Tutorial videos

(Please Pat send me the videos and I will upload in our YouTube channel, Rafa)

Here are some Videos I made I hope somebody can learn something from them. Sorry for putting them in the discussion I did not know how to upload them anywhere else. Any comments would be apreciated. Thanks. I miss seing Tutorial videos from everybody else. Good day

hey dave nice job, although I have'nt finished them yet...on thing you can eliminate alot of work if you think about the curve design or the finished 'profile' (yellow curve) and rail revole (from gem curve) to make your top section ..look at the pics I sent...I'll finish the last three vids now...

david you might want to use rail revole to make the shank..you did a sweep using both profile curves try only using one curve and you won't have to do double steps on your wire cuts...on the example the colored base was made using 'rail revolve' the other one was a one rail sweep notice the bottom ...also I find it's faster to use 'cage edit' scale 1d. to shape the side view of the ring ... I used to use wire cut and all that stuff and sometimes I still do but I find cage edit is faster...

instead of picking the 'Bars' you can window select them (from right to left) in the front viewport

CAGE EDIT VRS. WIRE CUT Thanks Pat. I will keep all those good tips in mind. But on reason I dont use cage edit to model the shank is because it leaves the sides of the rings to round or bumpy wirecut leaves the sides more wide so I can fit all the detail on the sides. On Cage edit the sides are too fillet for my preference but I get what your saying. Thanks again.

I dont know why I cant upload the videos they work fine on my computer but when I go to upload them they are not available I will see what I can do.

You can have 2Gig free storage on the web. Your file will never been deleted or expired. Maybe you can try this out..

that's why I stopped making vids and putting them on screencast after a while I ran out of space and had to delete alot of them... I lost some good ones!
