I am using the 30-day trial of the software. Love the programme and planning to buy RG 3.0 version. What computer (notebook) configuration is best suited to work with it?Views: 4

Lot of memory. Powerful processor (dual or quad) And Nvidia Quatro graphicgard. Quatro is designed for 3D modelling.

The nvidia gts or gtx series works great as well. :)

I have both: nVidia 8800GT (512mb) and nVidia Quatro FX580 (512mb) both woks well, but Quatro works better with bigger/more odjects. I have tested it: 8800 was able to rotate and handle about 7 rings in screen (.STL) and Quatro was able to rotate about 10-12 same rings (.STL), so I would recommend Quatro if you need to handle many complex objects at the same time (ex. mass product). Both are about same price.

Every middle class configuration will fit rhinogold use.
About quadro vs other nVidia : Quadro aren't more powerful, there more stable and the cooling system is better. So for the same price you 'll be able to dispose of a best non-quad video card.
