Hi all,

I'm still learning how to use RhinoGold to draw a ring and came across this wax. Somehow I just can't figure out the way to draw this particular part (see image). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Andreas

Thank you for pointing out the basic concepts. I guess I'm more comfortable with the first way of modelling and it is just a matter of thinking outside the comfort zone. ..And your the guide line is a big help.

Regards

Kent.

how about a little tutorial on how you would go about modeling the ring andreas?

I worked on it a little here's my rendition ..I didn't finish the center section (the bar)

Hi Pat,

That 's pretty good pat. So how about you show us a little detail how you approached this model :))

I was hoping one of the pro's would help as I'm not that good but here goes.....I did it as a series of 1&2 rail sweeps (red lines and cyan lines)  the blue colored lines was a network surf, the insides were lofts and sweeps...this was my first attempt but I think I may have discovered an easier/faster way

Hi Pat,

I have a question for you. I recollect of old posts that you've used Cad Wax plugin. I'm consider to buy one but want to have your opinion on the usefullness and compatibility with Rhino...

Thanks

I would trace the outline edges and build from surfaces. When is this clayoo program coming out?
